Rose Steel Inc. anticipates and exceeds the ever-changing and unique needs of our customers in a complex industry.
Our three year apprenticeship program is a system of learning whilst still being able to earn a wage (learning by doing). It combines training on the job and is supplemented by instruction in the classroom. Apprentices will be paid a progressively increasing schedule of wages based on the journeyman’s wage rate. An increase of wages on average every six months based on the acquisition of increased skill and competence on the job.
This program operates under the apprenticeship training standards agreed to by management in accordance with State and Federal laws, under which an apprentice works one on one with a skilled worker and gains on the job skills and “know how” which in turn makes them become an important asset to the our industry. Under this program the apprentices on their road to being journeymen will spend an average of 6,000 hours of on the job training and approximately 432 hours in the classroom.
At the end of the three years we expect to have a worker with all the skills, knowledge, and training necessary to be safe on the jobsite, competitive in the workplace, and satisfied in his career of Structural Steel Erector.
